An advisory board is defined as a group of individuals who work with a business owner to offer advice and guidance. An advisory board can be a loose, informal group of business owners that meet a few times per year, or can be a dedicated group focused on development and growth meeting on a monthly basis. The second definition is the focus behind Your Management Team Advisory Boards.
Hiring a board changes the focus of an informal association and guarantees a commitment and focus on helping you achieve your goals.
Start-Up Advisory Board
A Start-Up Advisory Board consists of two business owners meeting monthly to develop a strategic plan for development and launch of a business concept. Monthly meetings follow the strategic plan focused on implementing the actions required to achieve the pre-set goals. The greatest advantage of the start-up board is having a partner that believes in you and your idea, followed by two individuals who will hold you accountable for achieving your goals.
Focus: Start-up and struggling businesses
Cost: $300.00 per month.
Commitment: Minimum six months.
 
Strategic Advisory Board
A Strategic Advisory Board consists of three business owners meeting monthly to grow your business to the next level. The board starts with development of a strategic plan for growth followed by monthly meetings to implement the strategy for growth. The greatest advantage of the strategic board is having a team looking at the big picture who is not mired in the day-to-day management of the business.
Focus: Established businesses ready to grow
Cost: $500.00 per month.
Commitment: Minimum six months.
